SMCM Head Men's Coach. In his eleventh season with the Seahawks, and sixth as Head Coach,
Coach Gainey has been instrumental in maintaining a top level program. Coach Gainey has led the Seahawks to a 62-43-7
six year record, there first ever National Ranking in 2004 (#24). Coach Gainey is the winningest coach in schools history.
Coach Gainey was named Coach of the Year in the Capital Athletic Conference in his first year at the helm.
Coach Gainey is also responsible for leading the Seahawks to their best ever season in 2002 with 15 victories.
Gainey holds the USSF, NSCAA National and NSCAA Advanced National soccer diplomas.
Coach Gainey is currently the Head Girls Coach for the Olympic Development Program in Maryland. He lead the U-18 Girls ODP team to
Marylands first ever National Championship in 2005. Coach Gainey Co-Coached the U-16 Girls ODP team to another National Championship
in 2006. He was named USYSA and MSYSA Girls coach of the year for Maryland in 2006. He serves as a USSF Trainer, and is the Director of the
Seahawks Soccer Camps. Coach Gainey is in his fourth year as the Director of Coaching for St. Mary's Youth Soccer.

SMCM Asst. Head Men's Coach. In his sixth season with the Seahawks, Coach Edgar brings both
college playing and college coaching experience to the program. Coach Edgar currently resides
on the board of the MSYSA and serves as the Commissioner for the South District. Coach Edgar
also oversees the South District Development Program. Coach Edgar also teaches USSF courses for MSYSA, conducts coaches and player clinics, and serves as the Co-Director
of Seahawk Soccer Camps.
